Omar Rudberg activates an ambitious vision without boundaries or apologies via his music. Emanating jaw-dropping vocal talent, palpable charisma, and superstar je ne sais quoi, the Stockholm-based and Venezuelan-born artist, actor, dancer, and international force of nature doesn’t just want to put on a show; he is the show. Attitude, confidence, sexuality, and spirit surge through his artistry at full blast, tailoring his Latin-infused, arena-ready pop for crowd singalongs in the process.

Following over 140 million career streams, a star turn in NETFLIX’s Young Royals, and acclaim from V MagazineTeen Vogue, and many more, Omar welcomes everyone to the show on a series of 2024 singles for Elektra and more to come.

“My goal is just to be the artist I’ve always been inside,” he exclaims. “I want to show the world who I am and what I feel. By beginning this chapter in the U.S., I can do it in a much bigger way. I’m going to bring a mega-show that’s a mix of everything—the Latin, pop, and R&B influences, the dancing, and the music. The time is now.”

Omar spent the first years of his life in Venezuela surrounded by music. At three-years-old, he would regularly perform for the family at his grandmother’s request. He eventually relocated to Gothenburg, Sweden with his mom and her new husband. As a kid, he obsessed over YouTube videos of Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber in addition to discovering the Eurovision Song Contest. Devoting all of his time to singing and dancing, he emerged victorious at one local talent competition after another and even shined on the fourth season of the Swedish version of Got Talent. Videos of Omar led to more discovery, and he joined the global boy band FO&O. Beyond platinum and gold singles, the group toured three continents and supported everyone from One Direction to Justin Bieber.

“The band times were like my ‘artist high school,’” he laughs. “I had to learn a lot and grow up earlier than expected. It was a blast though.”

In the group’s wake, he kickstarted his solo career with a series of fan favorite singles. During 2021, his star rose worldwide as he joined the cast of NETFLIX’s Young Royals in the role of Simon. As the series transformed into a phenomenon, he served up his 2022 album OMR. Among many highlights, the single “Mi Casa Su Casa” amassed north of 15.6 million Spotify streams and counting. Praising his multi-hyphenate success, V Man hailed, “Not unlike his character, Rudberg himself is a musician and unapologetically himself, getting more so by the day.

In 2024, he’s unabashedly giving the world Omar and ignited a new chapter with the single “Red Light.” On the track, loose guitar wraps around a steady beat as his vulnerable vocals take hold. Longing echoes through Omar’s delivery, and he exhales, “You were everything I wanted. It culminates on a climactic chorus uplifted by a guitar lead, piano, and strings.

“It’s a bittersweet song,” he notes. “It’s happy and about love, but it’s also sad and in-between. It’s very emotional to me, but I feel like this song marks a new era. It’s very different from everything else I’ve released. It’s like the introduction to what is coming.”

Omar knows the best is yet to come as he makes a closer connection than ever.

“When people hear my music, I want them to feel like they can be themselves,” he leaves off. “When I was a kid, I didn’t have someone to look up to and relate to. Now that I can do this and make music that truly means something to me, I hope people can relate to it and feel seen. Live your life and be unapologetically yourself.”
